The creation of new ponds and lakes
- Permissions and constraints - providing advice on planning matters and Environment Agency consents
- Design – normally determined by the natural features of the site but factors such as water supply, pond lining, size, depth, shape, edge treatment, access and cost need to be considered.
- Construction – including the machinery required and dealing with the excess spoil removed from the excavation.
- Aquatic planting – including marginal plants, submerged and floating leaved plants and any protection they require from grazing animals.
